Director

She graduated from Uludag University, Department of Sociology. She studied screenplay. She worked as an assistant director in the documentaries “Local TV” and “The Smell of Straw / A Dream in a Cock”, which received the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s General Directorate of Cinema. The documentary “Behind them”, which she directed and produced in 2018, took part in many national and international festivals and received awards. She shot the documentaries “Ictima”, “Mercy / Journey to Despair”, “Blood and Sweat / A Champion’s Story”, “Ukde”. She completed the documentary “Ya Then”, which received support from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, General Directorate of Cinema. She works as a producer and director at TRT Internal Productions Department. She is married and has two children.

Academician-Director

After studying engineering at ITU and Boğaziçi University, he worked as an assistant director in various motion pictures, short films, documentaries, and commercials. As a part of Hayal Perdesi Cinema Group, he carried out three-year theoretical and practical studies on cinema. He then studied directing at the New York Film Academy in the USA. With the films he directed and produced, he took part in more than 100 national and international festivals and won nearly 30 awards. He was a jury member at the 8th Pentedattilo Film Festival in Italy. He made two more animated films called “Same” for the 3rd Istanbul Triennial and “Döngü” for TRT. He worked as a co-producer in the movie “Wreck”, as an executive producer in the movie “Stigma”, and as a producer in the animated movie “Yasemin”. He directed 22 episodes of TRT’s documentary series “Milestones of World History”. He was the animation director of the documentaries “The Hidden Kingdom” and “Fuat Sezgin” made for TRT, and the director of the documentary film “Köş”. He gave seminars and lectures on cinema in many institutions. He completed his master’s and a doctorate in Cinema at Marmara University. He worked as a film writer for Hayal Perdesi Cinema Magazine for eight years. He has three books named “Soviet Propaganda Animations”, “The Villain in Yeşilçam” and “Writing the Cinema”. He still works as a doctoral faculty member at Istanbul Medeniyet University and continues his theoretical and practical studies on cinema.
